The Health and Wellbeing project is an NHS England-funded pilot to support the health and wellbeing of the primary care workforce (including general practice, dentistry, optometry and pharmacy) in South West London (SWL).

This Pilot aims to reinforce the NHS People Plan 2020/21, published in July 2020,  that outlines a strong emphasis on ‘Looking after our people’ – including 23 commitments related to health and wellbeing. 

The project comprises of three components:

  • Mindfulness for Life Training: Up to 250 training spaces. Delivered by qualified teachers from the University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre. For more details click here and to book click here. 

  • Health & Wellbeing Webinar Series: Delivered fortnightly, covering topics including: workplace wellbeing, work culture, nutrition & physical activity, managing workloads, taking breaks, creating a ‘work well’ practice. For more details click here and to book click here.

  • Employer's Health & Wellbeing Pledge: To develop an employers health & wellbeing pledge which employers can sign-up to, demonstrating a commitment to support and prioritise the health & wellbeing of current and prospective employees. We are consulting our Stakeholders on what the Pledge should include.
